Information You Provide Through Forms
What the Firm Collects
When you submit the contact form on this site, the firm collects the information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number (if you choose to include it), your selected subject category, and the content of your message. No information is collected from the form unless you actively submit it.
How It's Used
- To respond to your inquiry — typically within one business day
- To manage the client intake process if your inquiry leads to a formal engagement
- To maintain records of correspondence for quality and continuity purposes
Who Sees It
Form submissions go directly to the firm's intake and advisory team — a group of six people. Marc-Antoine Delisle, David Arsenault, or the analyst most relevant to your inquiry will review and respond. No external parties, contractors, or automated systems access your form data.
How Long It's Kept
- Active client files: retained for 7 years following the conclusion of the engagement, consistent with professional record-keeping obligations in Ontario
- Inquiries that don't become engagements: deleted after 12 months from the date of submission
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information the firm holds about you at any time. Send your request to contact@bientreramqsenc.com — no special form required, no bureaucratic hurdle. The firm confirms deletion within 10 business days.
Cookies
What the Firm Uses
- Essential session cookies: These keep the site functional — managing your session state, remembering your cookie consent preference, and ensuring forms submit properly. They expire when you close your browser or within 30 days, depending on the cookie.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): These help the firm understand how visitors use the site — which pages are most visited, how long people spend reading, and where traffic comes from. See the Analytics section below for specifics.
What the Firm Does Not Use
- Advertising cookies
- Retargeting pixels
- Social media tracking scripts
- Any cookie that builds a profile of your activity across other websites
Your Control
The cookie consent banner that appears on your first visit gives you a clear choice: accept non-essential cookies or decline them. Declining does not affect site functionality — every page, form, and feature works the same either way. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Analytics
Tool
Google Analytics with anonymized IP addresses enabled. The firm does not use the full Google Marketing Platform — only the base analytics product.
What's Tracked
- Page views and page paths
- Time spent on individual pages
- Referral sources (how you found the site)
- Device type and browser (in aggregate, not individually)
- General geographic region (city level, not precise location)
What's Not Tracked
- Your individual identity
- Content you enter into forms
- Any information that could identify you as a specific person
- Cross-site browsing behavior
Purpose
The firm uses analytics to understand which pages and content are most useful to visitors — and to identify gaps. If the RGAM compliance page gets ten times the traffic of the billing optimization page, that tells the firm something about what Ontario employers are worried about right now. Analytics data informs content decisions, not marketing campaigns.
Third-Party Services
- Email: The firm uses encrypted email for all client correspondence. There is no third-party CRM, marketing automation platform, or email newsletter service that stores your personal data. When you receive an email from the firm, it comes from a real person on the team — not a drip campaign.
- Hosting: The site is hosted on standard Canadian/US hosting infrastructure with SSL/TLS encryption. The hosting provider processes server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of normal operations but does not have access to form submission content.
- No data sales or sharing: The firm does not sell, rent, license, trade, or otherwise provide your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes — or any other purpose. Period.
Data Security
- SSL/TLS encryption: Every page on this site is served over HTTPS. Data transmitted between your browser and the firm's servers is encrypted in transit.
- Encrypted storage: Client files — including intake documents, claim records, and correspondence — are stored in encrypted, access-controlled systems with multi-factor authentication required for access.
- Limited access by design: The firm's team of six means data access is inherently restricted. There is no sprawling employee base, no offshore support team, and no shared login credentials. Each team member has individual, role-appropriate access to client systems.
- Retention and disposal: When files reach the end of their retention period (7 years for client engagements, 12 months for non-engagement inquiries), they are securely deleted from all systems — including backups — within 30 days.
